If you couldn't tell already, we are a pretty silly family, so we really enjoy funny books. Here are a few that make Declan chuckle.

Walter The Farting Dog
I have to admit that Declan didn't actually understand this book at first, because we use the word "toot" instead of fart. But once I explained it to him, his little toddler brain completely howled!

I Stink!
A friend gave Declan this book for his birthday and it was an instant hit. The story follows a trash collection truck through it's evening of work and all the gross things it chimps on as it does its job. Clearly books that verge on the yucky are winners in our house.

Ruthie Bon Bair - Do Not Go To Bed With Wringing Wet Hair
Talk about a bad hair day! Ruthie doesn't listen to her mother and then mushrooms start spouting from her unruly doo. Adorable illutrations add to the appeal.

Hi! Fly Guy
Tedd Arnold has a whole series of these silly books, but this one is Declan's favorite. Who wouldn't want a fly for a pet, right?

Don't Let The Pigeon Drive The Bus
I have to admit this book it partially funny to us because the humor is so similar to Declan's dad - who pushes the envelope of sensible every day. Would you let the pigeon drive the bus?
